We are involved with JEC Racing throughout the season and look forward to the 2017 programme with great enthusiasm and excitement. This year we will be racing a XJR Supercharged which is currently under development in preparation for the new season. Watch this space for updates and pictures!
Huge trek to get there, but boy was it worth it!
Race footage to follow
What a race!
Class win Saturday and Fourth overall, followed by Second in Class Sunday.
Plagued with a misfire, the weekend was a tough one but a great success and a thoroughly brilliant race weekend
Thruxton was a success!
A great qualifying result of 3rd overall and first in class for the Saturday was a fantastic result
The race was tough but a 4th place finish overall and first in class was clinched, and it's now evident this car has the potential to battle with the big boys
Sundays race saw Adam drop two positions, but the car was suffering from fuel starvation as a result of the standard fuel system (Another change on the long list)
Overall though, even though the car is relatively untested and we still have a lot to learn, she's flying and the 2017 season promises to be a great one
Flaming Good Weekend
First in class Saturday and Second in class Sunday. It was a terrific weekend, and for the cars first outing she performed very well. Few more tweeks and adjustments to be made, but it's heading in the bright direction and the future with this car looks very exciting
She's almost ready
A few final touches needed, but she's now a fully prepared Class D Racer! Full up date on the works undertaken to come
She’s getting there!
Engine is done
Almost ready for the 2017 season
The new Racer!
Big plans for 2017 - See the teaser shots.
Supercharged Class D racer XJR
Well! A great weekend was had, 1st in Class on Saturday and Second on the Sunday. The track itself is great, real good fun to drive/race and always a good turn out of Jaguars to attend. Class A championship is almost in the bag, Cadwell is next so watch this space! We also have some big 2017 plans...more details to follow
Well what a weekend! Testing on the Friday gave me an idea of how fast this track is, and how the big Jags need to be pushed very hard nearly all the way round, mostly sideways! Saturday qualifying went well, grabbing first in class and 11th overall, very pleased and ready to do battle. However come the race, a bonnet pin decided it didn't want to play ball, resulting in an early retirement after I realised it just wasn't safe to proceed, very frustrating. Sunday therefore was the day to score some points, and I had it all to do, starting from almost the back. But a great start was had, and about 6-7 cars were passed before the first chicane. The race went well and I managed to grab second in class to get some points under my belt. The car decided to dispose of it's power steering fluid however, so that's on the list of jobs before Donnington (One of my favourite tracks) Link to youtube race video to follow....
So.....Anglesey has been and gone, and what a weekend! Friday testing was interesting, especially when the nearside rear wheel decided to overtake me. Sheering from the spokes, the wheel disintegrated and left the car, quite scary. Picture tells all. Saturdays race went well, taking second in class I felt the car was performing at 70% of its ability, and I wasn't happy with the cars set up. A few tweaks that evening were in order (and some beer). Sundays race wasn't a success however, a spinning XJS on the racing line was not to be avoided and I had no choice but to collect the front of the car, and damage the XJ, picture included. ...Plan ahead: Power steering is going back on, wasn't for me. New wheels and tyres are being fitted also. And of course, repair to the front of the car is high in the list, she's looking a bit sorry for herself. Next up date will be Thruxton 12/13th August - This race will be televised on motorstv.co.uk
